Our beginnings: a local company with a global outlook
SAUT was founded in 2005 in Puerto Montt, in the Region of Los Lagos, by Jorge Jaña and Milenka Covarrubias. The company was created to provide technological and innovative solutions to industry through personalized automation and electrical engineering projects, covering the entire process from conceptual engineering, to design, implementation, and maintenance.
Several important milestones have marked our way and forged our path.
2005
Creation of the “Automatización Ltda” project.2006
Direct commercial relationships established with large industry providers, representing a significant impetus for our company.2007
First export of SAUT solutions for an RAS technology aquaculture project in Tasmania (Australia).2009
First project for a domestic client in the hydroelectric energy generation industry.2010
Consolidation as a provider of solutions for the domestic and international aquaculture industry, giving us operational independence.2013

To date, we have implemented the automation of 98 salmon farming systems worldwide, in 16 different plants in 10 countries.2016
The Innovation and Development Department (I+D) is formed to provide technological solutions that meet the highest standards of the productive industry. The results obtained to date position us with large manufacturers. Artificial intelligence and artificial vision are added to our processes.2018
UL508A certification is obtained, which allows us to successfully enter the U.S. market. This milestone is the result of intense work by our collaborators, involving annual inspections on the quality of our solutions and compliance with U.S. standards, which is extremely complex to obtain and maintain. Only two or three companies in South America hold this certification in the area of automation for the construction of automation panels.2018
Delivery of technological solutions for the Danish company Atlantic Sapphire in Miami (United States), the largest land-based RAS fish farm of its type built to date worldwide.
